Description

Gioia was recommended to us by a London local but Italian-native and we can definitely say it was some of the best pizza we’ve had in London. It’s a hidden gem with the atmosphere of a neighborhood pizzeria using authentic Calabrian ingredients.

We tried two pizzas: a margherita with ham and a 4 Stagioni. Soft and dough-y with a wood-burning oven finish, the crust is to die for. Trust us, even if you’re not a crust person, you 100% will be with this pizza.

Even though the pizza was a killer, we were pleasantly surprised by the starters. They were simple, but delicious thanks to the high quality of the ingredients. The burrata starter (with rocket, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and focaccia) and the tricolore salad were two perfect fresh starts to the meal!

Gioia recreates a sense of home away from home. It isn’t too crowded, it’s relaxing, and the food highlights the pure pleasure of Italian cuisine.
